Sue retired from a career with the Department of Justice in Nova Scotia and moved to Newfoundland thirteen years ago to start a new career in clinical research.
Sue has a passion for everything food and wine. This passion led her to become certified with the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. Sue has taken a teacher training course at the International School of Wine in New York to enhance her teaching skills.
Sue is as avid traveller and has attended cooking schools in both Italy and France. She has spent time exploring vineyards in Germany, Spain, Greece and Italy to name just a few. Recently she cycled through the Cote d’Or in Burgundy as well as attending a week long extensive tour with Autour du Vin in Bordeaux.
Some of Sue’s most memorable experiences have been sampling crisp whites along the Danube in Austria, sipping Lous Roederer’s Cristal with foie gras at the Chateau de la Chèvre d’Or on the cliffside of Eze, France and indulging in a seven course wine pairing at Restaurant Anne-Sophie Pic at Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne, Switzerland.
